Alpha Delta Sigma

• Alpha Delta Sigma is the American Advertising Federation's national honorary society that recognizes outstanding academic achievements by college seniors majoring in advertising across the country.
• To be nominated, a student must be a senior and a member of the UM AAF chapter and have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in all advertising studies and all other courses.

Dean’s Student Circle

• The Dean's Student Circle is a group of select School of Communication students who will work with the administration and faculty in order to positively represent the School to students, prospective students, alumni, parents, and the community.

NBS-AERho

• NBS membership is open to any student at the University of Miami with an interest in broadcasting or Motion Picture.

• a student-based branch of the national organization based in Indianapolis seeks to enhance the general professionalism of journalists.
• fosters ethical and professional conduct among student journalists on the UM campus through a program of monthly meetings, seminars, guest speakers and panels, and regular attendance at regional and national SPJ conventions for both student and working journalists.
• members are interested in a broadcast journalism, print journalism, or photo journalism career.

University of Miami Film Society

• The UM Film Society was created to serve as a venue for students to view and discuss independent, obscure and forgotten films in a non-academic setting.
• Discussions are casual and often branch off into different areas about the films such as production, the philosophy/theory, the story, the director and odd facts about the films.
• All discussions are held after the screenings and are non mandatory.

UFILM Studios

• a student-run organization comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from the School of Communication's Motion Picture program and the University at large.
• primary mission is to promote film production at both at the university and area level.
• annually sponsors workshops, seminars, special film screenings, and a visiting filmmaker program.
• sponsors the 'Canes Film Festival, a bi-annual showcase of student-produced work.

• UMTV is the University of Miami's Cable Television Channel, owned and operated by the School of Communication. Since 1981, UMTV has provided University of Miami students hands-on training in television production with state-of-the-art equipment as well served the Coral Gables community with local and educational programming.
• UMTV is a place to educate, explore and learn, for students, faculty, and audiences alike. UMTV can be seen throughout the University of Miami and Coral Gables on Comcast Channel 96 through our Live Streaming feature.
