Shannon Campbell
Assistant Professor, Public Relations

Dr. Shannon B. Campbell, a mass communication scholar and public relations practitioner, joined the faculty of the Public Relations program in the fall of 2007 as an Assistant Professor. Campbell has published numerous scholarly articles, book chapters, and editorial pieces. She also served as co-editor of News and Sexuality: Media Portraits of Diversity (Sage, 2005).

Dr. Campbell served as a senior research associate on the $3.3 million National Television Violence Study and the $1.4 million Urban AIDS Prevention Project. She holds the Ph.D. in Journalism Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
