DSC Peer Mentor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in Orientation
  • Participate in special events
  • Mentor freshmen and transfer students regarding their course selection, academic progress, career advancement and introduction to the School of Communication
  • Give at least two campus tours to prospective students per semester

DSC Peer Mentors Are:

  • Personable, dedicated, intelligent, courteous
  • Diverse, energetic, respectful, friendly

Membership Requirements:

  • 3.0 or higher GPA (within UM and SoC)
  • Rising sophomore, junior or senior SoC student
  • Good standing
